I have just been reading this thread and am a little concerned by this comment
letters demanding money will escalate her anxiety and affect her health (she's on the autistic spectrum)
You previously stated she was doing a nursing Degree.
I know you are concerned and have helped her out getting information etc however Nursing either RGN or RMHN can be tough going and the exams and coursework alone are very stressful without the enormous stress of working within placements.
Once qualified its even worse and many nurses get 'burnt out'.
If she is affected by anxiety please keep an extra watchful eye on her.0 -
Thanks pineappale for your concern. However she has proved she can cope with full time courses (just completed her sceince bases Access course with no help from me) and various placements with either children and one with adults with severe LD and at the end of each placement without exception each placement offered her a full time job if she chose to stay rather than continue her education.
The panic and anxiety that triggers her panic are letters that tell her she has nothing to live on. They worry me when I get them, but she finds it difficult to remain calm enough to try and find ways out and solutions at this point. Hence me trying to find answers before things happen.
Back to my question, does anyone know how we inform the DWP of any hours offered and worked by one of them each week from the bank work job? And how that fits in with a JSA claim?

When she signs on she can declare any work then....0

Thanks Mikey. They did their online claim for JSA today and the system says they will get a call back soon. They called the LA benefits office and they seem fine with the end of IS and the start of JSA.
The agency say the DBS check isn't back yet so I am glad the JSA claim is in. I guess when the DBS check is back and work is offered, the one not working can just go in to the local JCP and inform the office so hopefully an overpayment can be prevented."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others.
