Blind test Google vs Bing

Options
Anyone tried this yet? http://www.bingiton.com

It's a blind test between Google and Bing. For me, Bing is winning 4 out of 5 times on average.

The problem with Google at the moment is that if you're trying to buy anything new on the market, all they show is news sites and blogs. Even when you specify '+prices', '+best price' when you search.

When they do show retail sites, it's always the same ones that sell dead on the RRP. The problem is that they've dropped all the niche price comparison sites from their index, so you have to go to a dozen different sites to get the best price.

When it comes to shopping online, Google have just stepped back 10 years with their search results. I'm using Bing from now on.

Trouble is that the site is probably rigged by Microsoft to be "Pro-Bing".

All i can say is that i find Bing next to useless.
Using the test on a couple of tricky items Google is the winner with 3 wins to Google and two draws .

Ha ha! Google won every time!

Especially in more complex searches, Bing is absolutely useless in comparison. Try searching for this and see what comes up:

nokia 3330 OR 3410 pinout OR "pin out"

Every single result on Bing seems to have been plucked out a hat of random search results! The only relevant stuff is the image search.

    Picked a news event in my area from around 6 hours ago, and some obscure audio-related topics, and I quote;

    BING WON 0 ROUNDS:

    Google every time for me.

I cringe every time Windows Update tries to offer me the Bing desktop. I'm not Dreaming of a White Christmas thank you very much!

Google for me every time ;)

Blind test? They can't even rig their own results very convincingly...

Right click/hide update + no more cringing ;)

If you want to search google for prices use product search. I welcome dropping of shopping comparison sites because I search out info a lot more often than prices.
