Oh, and my Mum swears they cure a sore throat if used as a scarf.....personally I find I feel like I am being strangled & no improvment to sore throat but everyone to their own:rolleyes:

Ahh.. my gran does this.. apparently they have to be soaked in stale urine for it to work as the fumes from the ammonia are what do the trick... apparently...

we plait 3 legs together and make 'monkey tails'.. keep a waistband attached to the 2 legs and plait a third in cut along the front of the waistband and it holds the tail on.

cut off a leg.. tie it really tightly to fit your head.. perfect hair band to keep hair out of your slap while you get it perfect for a night out!

the toes are great if you wear your hair in a bun too.. scure with a bobble or scrunchie!

draught excluders in winter.. my gran would stuff hers with newspaper or other pairs of dead tights and use as a draught excluder.. until the dog humped it to death!
