Anyone ever received a fine from a Tesco camera-controlled car park?

I'm interested in finding out whether anyone has received such a fine and what your experiences were with them. I'm on about the ANPR camera car parks, where they have the camera on the entrance/exit.
The reason I ask is because I believe I may receive one soon
The reason being is that I was parked on the car park, and then tried to leave the car park. There were traffic lights at the exit, which were on red, and remained so for at least 15 minutes. After this time I got fed up of waiting for them to change, and decided to return to the car park to wait for them. But in this moment I forgot about the ANPR cameras and no return within 1 hour rule, by the time I remembered it was too late.
Eventually, the lights turned to green, and I was then able to leave the car park, after about 20-30 minutes of waiting in total.

I have a whole bunch from Highview Parking, who control Tesco in
Yate.
If you do receive a charge, appeal on the grounds that you did not leave the car park and explain the circumstances as you did here. Their CCTV timings should confirm this. If you really want to grind their nose in the dirt, tell them that this is on the advice of the Parking Prankster.
If they are stupid enough not to cancel, then come back here for advice on how to appeal to POPLA, or if you want it all over quickly without costing them £27 POPLA fee, complain to Tesco.Hi, we’ve approved your signature. No one has ever received a fine at a Tesco car park. They may have received a Parking Charge Notice, but never a fine.
Tesco can't fine you, their PPC can't fine you, Joe Bloggs can't fine you, I can't fine you. Really only the Police, courts and local authorities can.
So if you do receive a Notice to Keeper from Highview (Tesco's preferred supplier for harassing their own customers), get back to us.
You might want to start having a read of the most recent threads in this section of MSE to get yourself up to speed with what this stuff is all about. Avoid old threads, especially any that advocate 'ignoring' a NtK; it was relevant 12 months ago but the game has now changed.
Hope we don't hear from you in the future, but if we do - help is at hand.

On the above only the courts can fine you, the police and councils can issue penalties only
Make complaints to Tesco about this, they are ultimately responsible for these toothless wonders, they are useless and won't give me a ticket despite double dipping them several times, I even asked them if they would send me one of their love letters but to no avail. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Wow you have taken them far too seriously. This would not be a fine at all; nothing to break into any sweat over.
Google 'Parking Prankster Highview zombie apocalypse' or 'Parking Prankster Highview spider' and have a laugh, relax and be ready to read other threads on here if you should get one of Highview's stupid letters and end up having the fun of challenging & beating it.
The first point of call, of course, would be the Store Manager at that Tesco to complain and he/she can cancel these easily.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm fully aware that they aren't fines, just wasn't sure of the proper way to refer to them so just called it a fine anyway.
I did leave the car park area and return to it within 5-15 mins, so it's quite likely that the camera recorded that I returned to the car park within 1 hour. Is it likely that anything will come of this or are they more bothered about people overstaying?0 -
It's probably Highview who are pretty toothless, so just wait and see. If you have one coming it must be with you within 14 days otherwise it breaches the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012, and the BPA Code of Practice. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you.
