Know how's Whatever happens insuarance

I brought a Beko fridge freezer in may 2012 and when i purchased it i also took out the whatever happens insurance policy through knowhow. Unfortunatly my fridge freezer broke down over night on monday so when we woke on tuesday morning everything had defrosted. I called knowhow at 7:50am and was informed that the people that book the appointments dont start untill 8am so i should call back which i did. The soonest appointment they had was on saturday. In my policy it states "Call before 6pm and we WILL visit you at the following times :-call monday to wednesday and we WILL visit two working days after your call" When i realised this i called back to ask why it was not within the time scale and they said that they endevour to do so but on this occasion saturday was the soonest they had. The wording doesnt say we try to visit within it says we WILL. This agreement is completely misleading. Now we have to do without our fridge freezer for a further 2days with a baby and a toodler to feed. Is there anything we can do about this agreement??

Most home contents insurances cover freezer contents, you need to check.
If it doesn't, I get it covered, there will likely be a next time. It has happened to us 4 times in 40 years, probably about average I'd guess.

I don't know what the watchdog report said, maybe the earlier poster can recall?, but I'm guessing the policy wasn't worth the paper it was written on???

Either way, your loss of the food is the same whether they turn out in 2 days or 4 days as they have promised. Is 2 days loss of facility worth the argument you are going to have?, given your family commitments.;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
