Holiday Sale Dates

I've recently gone from being bed ridden to working part time. It means my partner and I have got a bit more spare money now and I want to go on a luxury holiday to make up for all the years I've lost being in bed!
I'm very new to the companies like First Choice, Virgin Holidays etc... (have always done very budget holidays!) so was wondering if anyone knows when they have their sales on and if they're worth waiting around for. We were thinking of going on holiday early April 2014 if that makes a difference and if we get an amazing deal, I'm not fussy on where we go!

Why do people keep recommending Icelolly?! They are just a comparison site and in order to get on page one on icelolly.com the travel agents all advertise around 30% below net cost to get the calls in. No-one gets an Icelolly holiday anywhere near the price advertised.0
