If i turn the boiler down to 2, which is about 63c is this a bad idea for the boiler itself and for efficiency and cost?

I love the warmth it provides but i feel the chill shortly after it clicks off and it wont come back on for another couple of hours.

It's heating 19 rads, ideal classic FF380. I'm trying to figure out if i can get it to stay on for longer but at a lower temp but wonder what this will do for the internals, sooting and cost? Bad idea?

Also i work at home some days, the office is 17ft x 11.5ft and seems silly to heat 19 rads for this space. I know gas is much cheaper but i did wonder about electrical heating. My boiler costs roughly 80p per hour. It is obviously only for much less than 1 hour in the summer / autumn and even early winter.

I tried to figure out a 2KW fan heater cost and assumed it would be on for 20 mins in every hour? Thats around 67p a day (8 hour working day). It would seem that this is about half the cost of having the boiler fire 4 times during the day for 30mins each time?

How out am i? I'm not confident in my predictions, the fan heating in operation time of 20mins in 1 hour is an assumption that could prove wildly inaccurate.
