Paying into a Lloyds bank account

Hi,
My local Lloyds branch is closed, and other branches are miles away. I know I can use a prefilled bank giro credit slip to pay money into my account via the Post Office but the money doesn't show up in my bank account right away.
So I'm wondering if it's possible to go into HSBC or Natwest and use the BGC slip to pay into my Lloyds account? If so, should I expect to be charged for this? And will the money show up in my bank account right away?

Most banks do not accept over the counter deposits for other banks. Even if they did, then there would a delay while the transaction was processed through the banking system. So no different to using the Post Office. Alternative is to mail it direct.0 -

might be a good opportunity for you to maybe move banks so that you can use a branch local to you. plenty of incentives going around to switch.
the new switcher service should make it quick & hassle free too0 -
They will probably not accept it - if they do they will certainly charge for it. At least a fiver I'd guess
Some banks allow you to pay in at the Post Office using your debit card - might be worth checking which they are0
