You shouldn't be returning any fake product back. You can read the ebay forum thing down below. So doesn't matter about the regulations of fragrance size, nothing you suspect of being counterfeit/fake should be returned to the seller.

  • Don't worry, I am not about to send the product back. The bin is the only place it is fit for... The front of the bottle fell off as soon as it came out of the box and the glass is scratched and marked. I dread to think what the actual perfume is made from. :/

    Still having problems.
The seller finally responded to the case. Admitted it was fake. Promised a refund. They then said they would put the refund through on 14/10. But, I still haven't been refunded.

I can escalate the case on 17/10. Given the seller has admitted the product is fake in the case messages, is it pretty much set that Ebay would rule in my favour?

Not heard from the seller since the promised date of a refund came and went. I have now escalated the case to customer support. Hopefully that will finally get the situation sorted - once and for all.

It is concerning how many people are providing the seller positive feedback for the same purchase though - I suspect they are yet to open the product and realise the various tell-tale signs that it is fake. If I had given it as a present, as originally intended, I would be mortified!
    - Imperfections in the glass of the bottle.
    - Front cover is a cheap plastic, that has immediately detached from the bottle entirely.
    - Sprayer doesn't work [sends the fluid dribbling down the front of the bottle].
    - Liquid appears to be paler than a known genuine batch.
    - Box is darker and duller in tone, the raised symbol at the top is less crisp, and the layout does not match the compared to genuine box.

    Definitely lesson learned lol.

You'll get your money back...no problem. Unfortunately it just takes a while Ebay must allow the seller time to respond.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
  • How annoying. Ebay have come back to say they will issue the refund when the item is sent back to the seller!
Despite the fact the item is a counterfeit product and the fact that there are limitations on sending fragrances through the mail. Not impressed. Especially as the seller stated that didn't want the item returned - they wanted it disposed of.
  • Have you telephoned Ebay and explained the SNAD is in fact a counterfeit?

The seller has the capacity to refund at any time, so he/she sounds like they are stringing you along, knowing full well Ebay will ask you to return it.
  • I replied to the Ebay customer service response, telling me to return it, explaining yet again that the product is counterfeit. [Surely, the only place to send something like that is trading standards lol!]
They replied stating once more that I must send it back to the seller or I cannot have a refund. I guess I'll just have to post it back this weekend but it has made me skeptical about using Ebay again - will be sticking to a couple of crafting sellers I use only.

I do remember there is a problem returning perfume by mail but as its a fake bottle of perfume, the seller admits its fake can you pour the liquid down the drain and return the bottle?
  • I like that idea lol!
Once we can verify that the item has been successfully delivered back to your seller we will close the claim and issue you a refund to your PayPal account.
I assume from that they mean using a tracking mail service. If they wait until the seller acknowledges receiving the fake fragrance back, I suspect I'll never see the refund - given they promised to refund me by the 14th and I am still waiting.
