Which laptop processor will be faster.......

.....and would i have any problems running Vista Premium.
The choices are -
AMD Turion TL52 Processor with 2gb Ram and 160gb hd, or
Celeron M430 Processor with 1gb Ram and 120gb hd.

Edit: Forgot to mention its use will be mainly for surfing the web - not downloading, or multimedia useage.

I would go for the first one but you would need to post alot more details.

Is there anyneed for vista? If you are only going to be surfing the web a basic laptop would be sufficient.

For surfing the web there will no perceptible difference between the two.

for surfing the web, any cpu above say 800 mhz will appear the same speed!
the problem is the pipe (ie phone line) not your hardware.

I think you will find a noticable difference between the two running an OS, antivirus, firewall and a few other bits and bobs, especially with vista - even if only surfing the web
