There are other makes other than Samsung. The point being that if you want a 42"+ screen, might as well get a good one0 -
The idea is that this screen is cheap for a 50" 1080i plasma its got nothing to do with a 1080p.
Every bodys ranting and raving about 1080p how many people have actually witnessed a 1080p plasma picture at 50" to comment thats its any better than 1080i
This screen is a bargin at this price. Is £3000 for a 1080p 50" plasma a bargin compared to this i think not case closed.0 -
Samsung make very good plasma tvs, see review here http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/Samsung-PS50Q97HDX/0

What makes you imply the Samsung is not a good one? AVForums seems to suggest that it is. Older models appear not to have been but this one seems to have broken the pattern.0 -

http://www.hdtvorg.co.uk/reviews/plasma/samsung_ps50c96hdx.htmThe Samsung PS50C96HDX is virtually identical to its stable mate the Samsung PS50Q97HDX. The differences include 1 less HDMI (side), 2 x 10w rather than 2 x 15w speakers and 'FilterBright' rather than 'Ultra FilterBright' technology.
Design
Apart from the absence of an HDMI input along the side of the panel, the Samsung PS50C96HDX is identical to its stable mate, the Samsung PS50Q97HDX.0 -
