    M & S ask:

Are the following statements true to the best of your knowledge and belief?spacer.gif

No complaints have been made about xxxx's behaviour.

xxxx has not been the cause of an accident or legal action.

xxxx has not been trained to attack and has not been used for

    Security purposes in the past.

Well that's not asking if he's aggressive with other dogs then, is it?

Only if a complaint has been made. And if a complaint hasn't been made, you don't need to tell them.

My insurance asked the above, I said no to all as that is the truth.

My dog however 'can' be reactive with strangers, this is new behaviour from him that was caused by 2 bad incidents... we are working through it, there was a stage we had to walk him on a muzzle, now he is walked on a headcollar for control but we still tell strangers not to run up to him, it is fear aggression he has. He would not maul someone but could give a warning nip if they tried to touch him. He is okay with people walking by it's only if they try to touch him. He is also fine with kids 100%, even strange ones, he trusts them but not adults and especially men

Jack was a nightmare with other entire male dogs if they tried the dominant thing and got on his back.

All hell broke loose and Jack was seriously going to do some damage till I got him under control. He never started fights, but would over-retaliate.

I got him neutered 6 weeks ago because of this problem and - touch wood - he hasn't had a fight since.

I'm not going to volunteer information to the insurance company if I can truthfully answer their questions.

I don't know if they still do it but the dogs trust used to offer a public liability insurance for up to five dogs for £20 each year, it would mean that your actual medical insurance wouldn't have to cover it.

I took it out one year but that was a few years ago, I've been meaning to look into it again
