Does HPI Check include 7 day car insurance?

I am looking at buying a vehicle privately and have done an HPI check through hpicheck.com and I was wondering if this includes free 7 day insurance cover?


I can't see this advertised anywhere on the website, apart from in section 3 of the T&Cs it says:-


"The Driveaway Insurance policy is arranged by Swinton and insured by Covea Insurance plc. Only one 7 day free policy is permitted per customer per vehicle registration number, a valid email address must be provided to access your documentation and the Insurers acceptance criteria also applies."


So is this something to do with dealers or does it apply to all HPI checks?

It is for buying through certain dealers.

Not for private buyers.

The policy excess and terms maybe restrictive also.

Car age limit and it may exclude commuting and have an excess way above what you would normally have.

Just get your own policy and proper cover.
