Toner Recycling

Possible scam warning:

I searched round for a decent price to sell on some left over toner cartridges I had from an old printer.

I found a company called toners-reunited.

I sent them the toners 10-weeks ago and have not received the agreed payment (it was promised within 4-weeks).

They won't return my calls.

The amount of money is small and will not change my life, but just wanted anyone diligent enough to search for toners reunited that they find this warning on a reputable website.

They offered me a much higher price for them than anyone else - you could even say a price too good to be true, but the website seemed real and they answered emails promptly to start with.

More fool me. Anyway, warning posted I shall now move on with my life.

  • I also think this is a scam - sent them a load of toners way before Xmas - no payment - chased them up and they said that they had "revalued" the delivery and now would only offer half what they originally offered. I refused and said they could send them back - no delivery or payment as of today - court action imminent - others warned to be careful
  • Wish I'd seen this earlier - still chasing payment for toners collected by this company back in January. I note their web site is still up and working some six months after the original poster made us aware of this company. About to pass the debt on to a collection agency.

Looks like Ive been done too!
I was dealing with somebody called Paul and all of a sudden he is not contactable. I've sent emails and made phone calls to no response.

Out of the blue on Monday I received an email from Toner-Resources, coincidently another London based company and another person called Paul who sounded very similar to the person I was dealing with at toners-reunited. I called up to say I'd not received payment for toners I sent and before I'd even given my name (or any other information) was very abrupt in telling me it wasn't that company I'd dealt with. May be a coincidence?

I've checked the Whois records for Toner-reunited and the address is different to the one on their website so I'll be following this up. The web address expires in June so I'm sure it won't be renewed and will disappear (possibly reappear as toner-resources?)

If anyone has any other contact details for them I'd love to hear from you.
Ill be contacting their website providers and html email hosts to see if I can get any other information from them.

Looking today, their website isn't available as they haven't paid the bill

The website had been available since 2011 so I think 'Wessy' may well be correct and they are moving on, slight change of name and reinvent themselves. The named directors of toners reunited at companies house are Laurence Gold (present) and Darren George Edmonston (previous) so we need to see if either of these characters pop somewhere else as directors.

I noticed a little while back that their registered trading address was not the one given on their website, unfortunately after they had collected the toners. More companies house information is available including a notification to strike off, looking like they have shut down and are about to resurface under a new name:

Please add any other information you find to this thread and lets get some attention put on these thieves.

BTW - I also dealt with 'Paul' and also 'Paul' in accounts
  • Last address information for Toners Reunited was:

    Registered Office
    2ND FLOOR CAMBRIDGE HOUSE

    CAMBRIDGE ROAD

    HARLOW

    ESSEX

CM20 2EQ

    Trading Address
    STERLING HOUSE,

    LANGSTON ROAD,

    LOUGHTON,

    ESSEX,

    IG10 3TS

I note that Toner Resources does indeed have a website available now - it gives their address as:

    Unit N

    The Maltings
    Station Road
    Sawbridgeworth
    Herts.

    CM21 9JX

Its less than 3 miles away Toners Reunited registered office. Coincidence?

Interesting find, wonder how abouts we prove that they are linked and go about claiming money back?

If the company's gone bust then there's no one to chase.
Maybe their suppliers or customers went bust upstream?

If that's the case, you should put in a claim to the liquidator, but if there's no money there...

    (no connection etc)
