Economy 10 Rate 1 & Rate 2

Hi,

Just wondering off hand if anyone knows which is peak and off peak? The usage is quite similar at the moment for each rate so it's difficult to determine.

I know the suggestion is to take down readings throughout the day to determine which is which but I don't live in the property (It is tenanted) and the tenants don't have access to the meter.

Thanks.

Hard to say with 100% certainty. You'll need to read the meter morning and night to see which register has moved....if the tenant has used something during the day.

  • As per HappyMJ, no certainty without actual hands on readings.

Its very likely that in the next 6 months, one of the two readings will climb noticeably higher, this reading will predictably be the night / cheap[er] reading. In the absence of any ability to take actual 'readings' this is at best a guesstimate based on the fact that the heating is now turned on. You can look back at the last years figures Easter to September and September to Easter and see a similar pattern of non-core usage.

Which of the counters is which ? even the meter readers, let alone householders often get this wrong.
