I have returned!! You may remember me as Bramble however, but I lost all my log in details and had to make a new profile.
How is everyone?
I've still been OS at home, just absent from the boards.
Just back from a beautiful week in Cornwall with OH and friends, just what the Dr ordered. We also celebrated our first anniversary (my, where does time go?) by going to London Zoo. Great week.
So, I need to meal plan today, as did an online shop and now the cupboards are bursting! I ordered the shop when I went away, with a meal plan in mind, but I've forgotten it, so need to work out what I bought for what dishes...0 -
Welcome back bramble/gonzo
A bit cloudy here today and a little cooler, but it is brightening up now.
Just a quick hello this morning because I have to shoot off to the podiatry clinic in a little while.

Helloooo:D
Didn't get a chance to come on yesterday at all. Very full on day:eek:
Had Noah at dentist before school. Just a check up but he finds it difficult.
He embarrassed me by spotting some disinfectant that said alcohol on it.....shouted out" alcohol is bad stuff, it makes you sexy and then people take their clothes off and dance on tables with just a bra and pants on showing their tackle"
Then had asher's baby group, then cooking and baking, then had to go to open evening at local mainstream secondary which just confirmed the fact that Noah will not cope there and needs IR:o
Have an appointment at autism centre today with behavioural psych re anger issues and his demand avoidance. She is also supporting the IR application.
Not cooking today as too much paperwork and legal LEA stuff to sort.
Will make my own oven chips and do fish cakes and mushy peas.
Made a yummy choc cake yesterday so that will do for a day or two:cool:
This is a very full on week with loads of appointments and I hate it.
Have started Xmas shopping by buying Noah's PS3 using tokens from amazon that I got for trading in some of my mahoosive cookery book collection:T
Apparently a few gritters going around our village last night.....do they know something I don't?
sistercas did you get your meat box from our local farm shop? What did you think?0 -
Morning all.
Today I need to concentrate on filing out my application form.
If anyone would like to read my personal statement thing, I'd appreciate it!
Need to get some dinner out of the freezer. They can al, have burgers. I don't like burgers so will probably have fish.
Need to hang my sheets on the line. The sun is trying to shine.
Just catching up with last nights GBBO. Think I can see who's going to go.
NPM, Noah is hilarious!
Take care all
Love, hugs & spoons x0 -
ohhh guys I need your help.
I am getting a tattoo tomorrow (eek!) my appointment is at 6 and I'd like to eat before I get it done.... I want to make this... could I make ahead tonight and then reheat in oven tomorrow? I can't see I'll have time to make and eat it tomorrow even if I manage to get home by 5:15.

Morning all,
NMP your chocolate cake looked delish, Noah makes me laugh :rotfl:
Hi Gonzo, I think you could just do the grilling bit when you get back
Molly what you had done yesterday is my worst nightmare hope you feel better today x
I've just made the dough for Paul Hollywoods Focaccia, very wet and difficult to handle, anyone I've left it prove I shall report back later. Will serve it with chicken wrapped in bacon stuffed with herby cheese, pasta and the last of the salad out of the garden.
My middle son and his girl friend are coming for tea.
When I was a little girl ours was always a house full of people coming and going staying for tea, sleepovers etc. everyone loved my mum. I always wished for a quiet house, how come I've ended up exactly the same? I suppose I would hate it any different.
Hubby has requested a cherry cake so shall make one his afternoon, his favourite.
I got a couple of bargains at the charity shop yesterday. A brand new coat by Simply Be still with the tags in a lovely dark red size 16 perfect for £7 and some heavy gold mats for the table at Christmas for £1.25 very pleased. I'd been looking at winter coats but really couldn't afford £30 to £40
I've a few things selling well on eBay at the moment so that's good and I also have managed two Christmas presents this week:T
Anyway enough chatter, have a great day xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all,
I was up and in town before brain was fully awake but I've done the jobs I needed and tracked down some of the items on my 'wanted' list.
Tried to get the 24£7 sweets from Morrisons yesterday -ha-ha, they'd all sold before lunchtime on Monday. The SA I spoke to said it had been difficult ever since as droves of people were asking for them & getting nasty because there were none left, hardly the staff's fault
More ironing this afternoon and a bit of sewing for the MFin3 challenge.
A real nip in the air today & going to be colder by the end of the week so must sort out my fleeces to line the curtains with.
Dinner is a pasta bake with rubbered chicken that I froze.
Have a great day all xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Trying not to nod off over the laptop as we had to leave for hospital at 6.40a.m. and got back about ten this morning. Tomorrow is an early treatment as well so might have an early night to prepare myself.
Lunch was veg soup I made yesterday and some leftover home made quiche and a lamb curry with peppers, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes is in the oven for tonight.
If I can keep my eyes open then plan to take books back to library this afternoon.
Nice to see Bramble back :j"This site is addictive!"

Was there a reason why you wanted to make that particular one? It would prob be ok but may dry out. There is another one near the bottom of that page called cheesy broccoli pasta bake... That would work better. It even says it can be frozen and reheated.
julie
I've made his focaccia and ciabatta, very wet dough but work well.
I have to say I can't stand him though ......I find him rude, arrogant and up his own a s s. I'm not enjoying this years GBBO as much ...no one really standing out for methisyear
Just grabbing a sandwich and cuppa after psych appt. She is doing a letter of support for an IR place. She agrees he isn't suitable for mainstream and vice versa. She said she sees a fair few kids his age for similar diagnosis and issues and from a demand avoidance point of view he is by far the most severe.....bad news but good also iykwim0
