Look at it this way: they are claiming to be marketing company, but do not have a website. That should be your first point of concern.

Next, you look the company up at Companies House. The only company you find is "ALPHA SUPPORT SOLUTIONS LIMITED", which is listed as dissolved. There's no company that goes by the specific name you mentioned.

You realise you are part of scam, and walk away without saying anything.

    This is my letter...

    To The Manager

Following the telephone conversation I had with Steven on 07.09.13, your offer to contract is respectfully declined. As I stated to Steven, I have no recollection of agreeing to any contract over the phone in July.

I have not received any communication from you apart from the most recent payment reminder which arrived on 05/07/13. I have not seen or signed any contracts with you or seen or approved any artwork. Therefore I fail to see how you can hold me to this contract.

Thank you for your attention to this matter

...I will save 'P##s off!' for the next letter lol
    You are conceding too much.
    • There is no contract to hold you to, on your account of what happened
    • If there is no contract there is no obligation to send you artwork for approval
What you have written suggests that something may have been discussed over the phone and you are trying to deny it.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

These companies are mostly based in the north west, as stated. They often publish a tiny amount of the so called publication , and tell you of their huge target audience, often aimed at police or army eg police diary , army sports mag, Some of them don't even produce the publication at all. Complete scammers, tell them where to go.in fact don't even speak-they work on pressure and threats.they employ losers who can't get an honest job another way or are on the dole also.

Antrobus's link above is excellent, very highly recommended.
  • I've followed the link and I sound alarmingly similar! They will be getting no money from me
