Evening all
We are in the final stages of ordering our new kitchen (thanks for the patience with my many posts throughout).
Currently unable to get a consensus view on the above - can you fit an induction hob over a double oven? And if so are there special requirements?
We are planning on having either duropal (40mm) or getacore (60mm) worktops.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. To date some say yes others say maybe and some say no!!
Thanks in advance
Steve

Well I have an induction hob over a double oven and never had any problems with it - except when I dropped a spice jar on to the hob and cracked it and had to get a new one. I would be interested in why some say no?0

As long as your hob isnt interfering with the oven and you are able to provide the ventilation requirement for the hob you will be fine. Installing a vent grille in the plinth wouldnt be a bad idea. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I installed an induction to replace my normal electric. Damn thing overheats all the time so whatever you do I would ensure good ventilation.
Not sure if you will run into the same issue if you have the oven and hob on at the same time though.0 -
I think that is the potential issue kuly.
How do you ensure that doesn't happen? And how do you make sure it doesn't interfere with the oven Ryder?
Thanks0 -
Check building in diagrams for the hob. It will state depth of hob and indicate how much ventilation is required. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Get a range instead (probably discounted that already but worth a thought)?0

Love the idea of a range, but unfortunately don't have the space..or the ££ really to cover it.
Thanks for all the advice0
