I have a box full of books I don't want, any easy way to get rid of them?

My mum says i should sell them on ebay but i cant really be bothered packaging every single one up and waiting for bids etc. just to get probably a tenner for the lot.
She would be mad at me if i said I just gave them away but I might do it anyway cos they are mine after all.
Others will still be getting use for them so I might just give them to the library.

If they're in good condition, try the library, If they don't want them take them down the charity shop

Freecycle/freegle? Have a stall at a car boot sale? Sell them in bulk on eBay as collect only? Sell them in bulk to a local second hand bookshop?0

The easiest way = burn them.
Not the best way mind you but that's not what you asked :P0 -
I took a lot of books to my old uni library as they were course specific, some I listed on amazon (watch out for postage as I am currently bemoaning my decision) and the rest I offered out to family and then charity shop for the rest.
For the next load I shall be offloading at the charity shop. Not a random one but one that specifically deals in books.DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -

Depending what sort of books they are but my DD's school is always happy to receive books. Funds are low and kids go through a lot of books. Maybe ask your local school.A friend is a present which you give yourself (R.Stevenson)

If you don't need what little cash you will make from selling them, I would say charity shop or orphanage, http://www.stgeorgesharrogate.org/0

If people see you burning books, they may think you are a member of the National Socialist Workers' Party, who were known for their book burning events.anotheruser wrote: »The easiest way = burn them.
