Cant get sound on Youtube - have I pressed something by mistake?

I can't get any sound on Youtube at present. My sound card and speakers still work, as I can get sound on downloaded games and on cds and I just tried streaming skynews live and that works ok.

I have checked nothing is mute and plugged and unplugged everything checked all the sound settings (including play websounds on multimedia option in IE tools) but to no effect. Have I clicked on some setting by mistake? Any suggestions?

By the speaker symbol with the cross on it, just go there and a slider will open next to it to increase the volume level, Seems to be a glitch in the system

Turn the volume up. For some reason they seem to have muted it for everybody as default.

You're not alone, people on other forums have been moaning about this.

I have this problem too on windows 7. Everytime I restart my computer volume slider on youtube is at zero, I have to turn it up and will run ok until next shutdown, but same again after restart.

Is this a flash problem or a youtube problem?

    Thanks
