Thorntons Website- Vent

Just a warning if you order iced items on line from Thorntons.

Ordered 5 advent calendars all iced with different names on and they arrived blank.

Thorntons have refused to do any thing about it other than told me to take them into a store(which defeats buying them on line!!).

According to them the website has not downloaded the information and I should have picked this up by the confirmation email as all the details of icing would be on there(I know that now!!)

Not impressed at all with their customer service.(and their website)

a computer clitch which does happen.

they offered a solution rather than you having to return them and then they sent new ones out (could take days) they suggest you take them to a store and have them iced instore, which would be a quicker solution in their eyes

All very well if you have a store near to you and can get there easily.

All they had to do was send out 5 little pieces of chocolate with the names on, not replace the whole things. They would get to me quicker than when I can get to a store.

Their website has never been the same for me since they changed it. Very often it is written in another language on some pages!!

I think their idea of a solution falls short of what I would expect if I was the customer. The Thorntons store closest to me would involve paying extortionate parking rates and trekking through a town centre with the advent calenders so I would not be happy either
