Has anyone here been to this in Covent Garden? In particular how long would it take to go around it all, assuming you're like my OH who always spends ages looking at every little thing and reading all the information cards?
We're not too far from London and I'm wanting to take him one day as I know he'd like to go, but I'd really want to know if it's something that's done in a couple of hours or if it's like some of the other museums where you can be there all day and more, so I can work out when/how to fit it in. Also if anyone's got any other tips on visiting this museum?

Here are some reviews:

Personally, I would take him on a Saturday & leave him to it.
Book yourself a ballet matinee at the opera house & meet him afterwards. Both venues are very close to each other.
There is a two for one offer available in case in case you go on another day.:j0 -
I want to go too and I'm not interested in ballet performances

Never mind, I am a great fan of anything 'London' so enjoy your day.
Have a look on YouTube re LTM. The videos will give you an idea.0 -
Sorry, not got round to doing this one yet so can;t comment on what it's like.
But as cinderfella says, there is a 2-4-1 available with rail tickets here

I've been to the LTM dozens of times (usually once or twice each time we visit London). It's not a huge place and you could whiz through and see everything in a couple of hours if you wanted to. You'd have to go slowly to stretch it out to a full day.
If you only want to visit once, then by all means get a 2-4-1 voucher from somewhere if you can. These will give you one day's entry to the museum.
If you plan to visit more than once, then pay the full entry fee and you will get a 12-month unlimited entry pass. These are not transferable so you can't share them with your friends! Staff will want to check your identity (photo ID or credit card with your name on etc) when you return for subsequent visits.
Note that children don't have to pay for entry at all, only adults.
There is a cafe inside the museum but also a few tables and chairs for people who take their own packed lunches. We usually pick up cheap sandwiches from Tesco just round the corner (use the Tesco website store locator if you need help with the location) rather than pay the cafe prices.
There is also a water fountain where you can refill your drinks bottle if you don't want to pay for soft drinks.
Hope this helps!0 -
The exhibition of 150 LT posters will take some time to get round, though I felt it was quite cramped so you couldn't always stand well back to get a good look at a poster.

The museum shop is fabulous.0 -
Well worth a visit in my opinion, spent a good couple of hours looking round with my teenage son.
