Tax questions about my situation??

Just to reiterate this. Everybody in the UK can earn up to £5000 tax free and if they have earned under this can claim it back. Basically i have earned £4000 so far in this tax year in a short-ish period of time and therefore have paid about £800 in PAYE tax on that, however i will leave this job soon having earned i reckon no more than £6,500. I then may leave the UK and i reckon i will have paid over a grand on PAYE tax by then. How can i get this tax back, how much will i get back and how long will it take???
Thanks
...Also, another sub issue. I have been paying student loan payments back on my weekly paychecks(around £15 a week). However i know i will not make over £15,000 this year(what you need to make to pay your loan back), although they are taking money i really need out my paycheck for it(i guess because my weekly current paycheck if times by 52 would show that i earn over £15,00(though not much). Is their anything i can do???? I will definetly not earn over £15,000 this year, though im paying back money i need.....what can i do??
Thanks

On the first issue of the tax repayment, you will not get this back until after the end of the tax year. Reason being, HMRC do not know that you will not have any other UK taxable income later in the year.
By all means claim it back, but not until next April at the earliest.Today is the first day of the rest of your life0 -
If you are leaving the UK for more than just a holiday then you can complete a P85 (leaving the UK) and give it in with your P45 and reclaim any overpaid tax. However if you return within the tax year and get another job then you may end up with a tax bill at the end of the year.
Regarding the student loan repayments, if I understand it correctly from the mountain of paperwork my daughter has, then you can reclaim any payments made where your yearly income falls below £15000.This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
