My mortgage aplication

Hi,

Finally seeing a Mortgage broker tomorrow, any views if im likely to be accepted?

Affordability wont be an issue as im not looking to stretch myself but im looking at a 95% LTV with Leeds, i have no debt, very good credit (no missed payments etc), a property i rent out but the rent covers mortgage. Leeds say as long as rent does cover mortgage they dont have an issue. Employed in same position for 5 years and can show evidence of saving for deposit.

I think thats everything, really hope im accepted.

    So, how did it go?

Leeds BS DIP is instant accept, or decline?

Refer is the last option, but they normally respond on same day?

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I would decline your application out of frustration.

You have asked this question to death, only this time you have provided less information to hope for a more positive answer in order to make yourself feel better.

No-one knows how they will react to your Wife not being on the application, yet being part of your financial life/setup

I wish you luck, but no more opinion from me; but will see how you get on if you keep us updated

    Hi Dave,

Sorry to have caused you such frustration, my circumstances are that if this application is not accepted it will likely mean living with the in-laws for a further 6 months. This is of my own creation but perhaps will justify my posts.

Today, well, it was very frustrating. Upon my arrival Broker was full of enthusiasm as im told she has just received a fax from Halifax saying they now do a new 95% product, I ask her if she is sure it is not part of Help to Buy 2 and she says its not. I ask again and she confirms it is not, im thinking fantastic, all good to go. Get a DIP etc and I leave in very good spirits.

Driving back to work when I hear on the radio that Halifax have today launched there HTB2 product, which turns out to be the same as the one broker just offered me. Now I have another property which I rent so cant use HTB so called broker back who says she will contact Halifax. Anyway as you will know this product was never available to me and the broker messed up.

She is now going to contact Leeds tomorrow direct and put by case to them before deciding if to run a DIP. She says she has NEVER had someone accepted with Leeds on the 95% but my case is the best she will have put to them, who knows, I will find out tomorrow.

Ouch - and living with in laws and frustration on mortgage!!

Ok, My point in your other thread is the way forward for sure. Put your Wife on the application, see what they will genuinely lend you on a totally transparent application and then find a property that matches this figure.

If you do not do this, you are asking for more stress and frustration.

Your broker does not inspire confidence, not my usual thoughts; but would consider going into a Leeds branch as they deal with Leeds products and processes day in day out...

Name and shame. That's the most pathetic thing I've heard in many years...

I would go direct however I can get a better rate via a broker with sequence.

Let you know how it goes, im looking at it as a 50/50

I wasn't pleased that's for sure, problem being to get the best rate I have to go with Sequence broker as they (as far as I know) are the only ones to have access to it.

Maybe tomorrow will bring some good news, I think I deserve it:money:

    Sequence?

    An Estate Agency advisor?

The only ones with access to what, exactly?
