Incorrect Meter readings given when joining Scottish Power
Hi,
I'm not 100% certain on this has happened and still need to get to the bottom of matters, but I think when my elderly father joined up with Scottish Power in July time I think he may have given the incorrect meter readings.
I registered his account for him online last week so I can help him manage matters more (Powers of Attorney are in progress) and Friday I received an email requesting meter readings. Upon my visit to him yesterday I gathered the readings and today went to input them online only to discover the Electric readings are LOWER than those given in July.
Any idea on how this gets resolved ?

Well I had some spare time so I called SP. Transpires that the July readings were estimates given from the previous energy provider.
I provided the new readings by phone, no alarm bells sounded and now await the bill.0
