Homelet reference check, how long does it take? Do you think we will pass

I have applied for a house to rent and did the reference checks today, it's with homelet, does anyone know how long these take. My partner has two ccjs on his file but these are settled, I told the estate agent and they said it should be fine as they're settled, but I do have a guarantor in case we need one. Apart from that our credit rating isn't great but we have plenty of proof that we can afford to pay the rent etc. do you think we will pass! And how long does it take?

I think my last one (nearly two years ago) took 2 weeks and my sister has an application going through that is already a week in. I think it depends how quickly they get the references from work etc back.
Regards the CCJs I really can't comment but good luck.0 -
Our last application was with Homelet. It only took a couple of days but we were in top of it in terms of employment references and had them returned within minutes. So there are things you could do to speed it up.
My wife has a CCJ and we didn't need a Guarantor. Best of Luck.0 -
CCJ's/defaults don't always show with all 3 of the credit reference agencies. I had a friend declare one on his application for homelet, and the final report had completely missed it!
There's no way of knowing until you get the results, sorry that's not much help, but it's useful for future applications because you can match the report with one/all of your credit files to help you with future applications. E.G. if homelet picks it up only on experian, then it's possible that another referencing company that usese callcredit/equifax only might not see it.0
