Hi

Just coming to the end of SP Online Fix November 13. Have been offered via their email a Online Fixed Price Energy November 2014.

This one is not showing on the comparison sites. The one that comes up is Online Fixed Energy December 2014. Does anyone know if this is the same deal? I'm on the phone trying to call them now. But will probably give up soon.

The SP email gives you the unit prices and daily standing charge of Online Fixed Price Energy November 2014 plus annual discounts for dual fuel and direct debit so you can easily compare with Dec 2014.

I did get through to SP who told me that the November 14 tariff is cheaper than the December 14 tariff and it only now available to those coming off the Nov 13 fix.

I asked for a quote and she quoted me an amount for the year more expensive the Dec 14 tariff showing on the comparison sites! Turns out the lady at SP had to calculate manually as their system no longer has the Nov 14 deal. Guess she is not great at maths as she calculated my annual gas usage as being 2500 less than it actually is. Work that one out!

Think I may go off to EDF on their fixed rate until March 2015. Only £10 a year more than SP but with an extra winter fixed.
