Morning all,

Its quite misty here in North Devon, just took the dogs out and couldn't see any further than the pitch we are on. Hopefully it will change a bit later on.

Took the 'Girls' yesterday to Widemouth Bay. Neither of them are that keen on the sea but made an effort yesterday to have a paddle and both of them had wet bellies by the time we got back into the car.

Today if the mist lifts we will probably take them to Port Isaac. I have good memories of that place when the kids were little..... One memory of nearly losing the car (we got to the car just before the tide took it). I guess at that time neither of us had a watch (or a brain cell between us).

Need to pop into Mor!$$ons on the way back to get something for tea. The caravan fridge is only half sized and its full of sausage, bacon, eggs and milk.

Son number 2 has disappeared from Son number 1's flat. Lord knows where he has gone. Daughter number 2 thinks it will be good for us to have Grandbaby on Saturday overnight :D

Meanwhilst hubby isn't keen on going home. I think he wants to turn me into the woman in the next van. Her hubby is working down here and she is staying here in the van whilst he is here. The difference is, she drives and I don't.... The difference is, she's got signal on her phone and i'm having to use hubbys phone as a hotspot to get internet access as my phone is useless down here. Still, I can always count the blades of grass.:rotfl:

Anyway, i'm waffling,

Have a great day all,

Morning all,
back to reality with a bump to day as I have a pile of ironing and loads of items to put away. Edinburgh was a wonderful break and we extended it into the weekend by not doing the usual jobs like shopping. So, we are eating out of the freezer this week and that will keep the shopping bill down.

I've volunteered to help out with sorting the Harvest donations for the foodbank this morning as that usually gets dumped on a lovely lady with a bad arm; we'll have a chat and a giggle I'm sure as we get the job done. Later I'll iron with a good film - I'm thinking "Meet me in St Louis" so I can unleash my inner Garland without DH laughing at me.

Poor dab, he's not keen on going back to work as his desk will be piled with stuff to sort out and there'll be a million emails about somebody else's work/ coffee money/the office fridge/ parking/ satisfaction surveys etc to clear before he finds his actual work emails., let alone his cases.

Onwards and upwards, I've got to find the vacuum cleaner and work out how it switches on!

Have a great day x
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

Morning :hello:

Had a fab holiday :D We did the usual - tour of every harbour we could find, walked on beaches wearing our wellies, saved cash by making lunches and flasks to take out with us then spent the savings in the pub :rotfl: There was a craft market yards from our cottage, I nipped in not expecting to find much but they had some lovely things. I bought miss tru a scarf and some cards for myself. I'm going to frame the cards and hang them in the bathroom. We also had an inspection halfway through the holiday – a cat came in, had a good look around the lounge and kitchen then sauntered back out :D Found out later that she belongs to a local fisherman, when he's out on his boat she does a little tour of the area and visits different houses :D

I had a bit of time to myself – when mr tru says he's going for a shower, he actually means he's going to lie on the bed and read the paper, do a crossword, then have a shower :D A couple of times, I waited for him to go upstairs then I went out for a walk round the harbour, he didn't even know I'd been out, lol. I took some green, red and cream yarn with me, I wanted to see if I could come up with something Christmassy. I made a few triangles using the colours in different orders, I've got one I'm happy with so I'll stick with that and make Christmas bunting for my kitchen.

Still fascinated by my grown-up phone. I checked in on FB everywhere I went, even left a trail of my journey home :D Must've driven my FB friends mad, sorry about that :D

I want to go through the freezers, I have lots of ingredients (mostly garden veg) and I want turn them into meals. Before I start, I need more baking trays/dishes, mine are a bit ropey now.

I have loads to do, but today I'm only concentrating on one thing – the washing :D

Went to the food festival locally yesterday, lovely food for sale but didn't buy anything.

Blue sky here on the coast, washing out. Will wait for it to warm up then for for a cycle along the coast, when the weather is good we live in a glorious country don't we?

Courgette and aubergine parmigiana for tea tonight, yum yum

Hugs to those who need them.

Today is the only day I have no appointments this week:o
Need to clear ironing.
Meal tonight.... Oven baked ham, potatoes, cauliflower cheese and leeks.
Going to try Asher on some food again today. She is struggling with this weaning business:cool:
Yoga this afternoon even if its just some Nidra.
Mr NPM is so flexible and bendy it's not fair... I am getting there with the complicated poses like Crow and Warrior 3 but he's miles better:o
Need to get on top of application for specialised school for Noah.

Had lovely snugly night with Love God last night watching DVD and scoffing popcorn we made:D
I adore my kids and family but I love my couple time with DH too, being a couple and not just parents 24/7 is so important in a marriage I think.

Right peeps off to try to get screamy to sleep so I can iron.
Have good days all:D

Morning peeps a quick one from me.
Off to Mr M for weekly shop, BM to go on, WM to go on, ironing to put away and sort out the tip of a house  I love us all being at home weekends but despite us getting kids to tidy up the house looks horrific on a Monday!
DS has a little friend coming to play tonight so pizza for tea.
Not sure what I will cook hubby and me! although I am craving cucumber so it will involve salad of some sort :rotfl:

Hugs and spoons all round xx

Camelot glad you've heard from DS, to them using GDD against you, :T on telling the GF what's what ;)

Tru I've enjoyed your check-ins :)

Judi good luck with the mist clearing, I'd be happy to count blades of grass if I could stay in North Devon :p

1......2....3......

Tis rather lovely I must say, but not so nice when the weather isn't so good. However, I do realize I am rather fortunate in a lot of ways.

Mist has cleared but its a bit dull. Theres hope for later. :)

Morning all

In a bit of a funny place at the moment :undecided mood changes from gd to bad in the blink of an eye. One min I'm feeling happy and the next life feels all too much again. Then as quick as it changed, it changes back again. Not sure why. Perhaps it's time to get meds reviewed which is headache itself. Anyway im writing this weekend off and starting again.

Did school run this morning then took little one to the park for a while. He was wet and muddy so cleaned him up. He's just gone up to bed for a snooze.

I need to sort out the boys clothes as a pair of school trousers have gone walkabouts. Things have a habit doing that in this house :o might make some bread as well. Found an interesting recipe on pinterest.

Any way hugs to all that need or want them. Have read the thread but nothing has sunk in :o

Hahaha love it! Glad its not just me then. :D I blame my age, whats your excuse?

One shock ive had since ive been here. In the main sleeping area we have a sort of dressing table (which is full of man tools). It has a large mirror above it. Now apart from little piddly mirrors I use to put my makeup on, we don't have any decent sized mirrors in the house. Forced to go past this mirror each time I go into the bathroom I can see more of my self than I would like.

It seems that since I came off the anti-d's ive put on most of the weight I had lost.

I think I need to wire my mouth up.
