Which cards still comes with 90 day Purchase Protection?

Hi,

I had my two month old £900 bicycle stolen a couple of days ago and am claiming on my contents insurance, but the excess is £200. I have found nothing to suggest the MNBA Reward card I used to pay for it came with purchase protection insurance, and so I would like to get a new card that comes with it, as the typical 90 day theft protection has an excess of only £50.

However it seems this feature has been taken away from several card offerings including most recently capital one, and Barclays personal cards.

Through google I found Purchase Protection (including theft) appears to still come with Amex cards (but that limits who accepts the card), and co-op platinum visa card.

I was wondering if anyone may know of other cards it still comes with.

Thanks in advance

Amex and the Co-op Plat are it now. The majority of places accept Amex these days, so in that respect I wouldn't worry.

Capital One used to offer it as well but stopped earlier in the year.

I did find one more card offering it -- the Post Office Credit card -- and the excess on the loss, theft or accidental damage insurance is only £25!! Thanks reclusive46 for confirming its a rare offering these days.

The local bike shop unfortunately does not take amex. But on the postive side I have been accepted for the Post Office Mastercard and by going through a cash back site I got £40 just for being accepted :)

I didn't know the Post Office came with purchase protection. Have never seen it mentioned here either haha. I suppose you learn something new every day :D

Ulster Bank Gold card, according to this article on the main site...

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/credit-card-tips#pp (correct as at June 2013)

Checking their website it seems it's still available...

The excess appears to be £50 though.
