In my opinion, they've made a few mistakes this year with this. It's compelled me to sign up to this forum
1) They've removed the 6 week voucher £25 incentive. This was always a consolation in case you missed a week
2), it's only a week on since the pay day bonus scheme finished, and I'd over spent earning that voucher. So I'm supposed to over spend for 9 weeks instead of 8 from here on. What will I spend the incentive on at the end, when I've stocked up on everything for 9 weeks earning it?
3) Why add the extra week to 9? Customers are going to spot this straight away, it's an extra £40 for the same bonus
4) Other supermarkets have every item listed online, so you can plan a shop, check offers by searching the product. This way you can get the same items each week by going to other markets, or visit 3 shops and get the specific items on offer. When doing the Christmas shop offer, you remain loyal to Morrisons for 9 weeks, regardless of a couple of items being at £3.50 being but £2 in another store.
By only listing offers online, and not offering a delivery service or the chance to price match. This offer is getting further away from me before I've even considered it
5) I average about £30-£35 a week shopping. I could just buy 5 saving stamps by cutting back a couple of items and still achieve a £40 free shop by sticking to a £35 average shop (thus saving £80, because I wouldn't be spending the extra 5 to get to £40, and I'd get the £40 shop from the stamps)
6) and last of all. These vouchers go for anything between £3 and £5 on ebay. The weeks I do go over £40, and I get the voucher, I can get the cash value by selling them
It was a good scheme in previous years. It's massively become something I probably won't even bother trying this time round0 -
Spend £120 to get a £10 voucher or £360 to get £40 voucher seems to be the gist! :beer:0

I spend between £80 and £100 each week at Morrisons so will be splitting my shop at the checkout until Christmas - It worked last year although I did get some strange looks from the till operator at times.0

Hi,
Despite the fact that the Morrisons website does not state it (why I dont know) they are indeed running the £25 voucher as well this year as previous years.I am unsure for definite on dates but think if you start collecting your vouchers from the 4th November for 6 weeks you can swap these for a £25 voucher from the 16th December onwards.Best to check in store for definite with staff but it IS DEFINITELY running again this year.

If you collect the remaining 6 vouchers (weeks 4 to 9) you can then exchange them for a £25 voucher. Obviously they aren't going to advertise this until the start of week 4.
So it goes...
Week 1-3 = £10 voucher
Week 4-9 = £25 voucher
Week 1-9 = £40 voucher0 -
Thanks for the post but to be honest I've given up on all this promotional nonsense. Changed to Aldi and now just pop into my local Morrisons for top up shopping.
Im my opinion Morrisons would be better served to save the money on the promotions to enable them to drop their prices on their products all year around. The Early bird may catch the worm ...but its the second mouse that gets all the cheese!0 -
We don't usually shop at Morrisons but we will be up until Christmas for this.
Does anyone know if theres a certain amount you need to spend when you claim the £40 off? Eg, can I get a shop worth £50 for £10?0 -
Similar to mike_the_bike, I haven't got involved with this scheme. Even though they have reintroduced the £25 scheme, I probably won't bother.
In my opinion they've scored a real own goal with all this. I haven't been shopping for 3 weeks, nevermind just ignoring the scheme
I signed up to Sainsburys delivery £15 discount on £60 online, stocked up with that. I have £50 of Morrisons stamps which I'll use in December. I think that will see me through with the odd £10-£15 shop now and until xmas
From Morrisons adding an extra week to a promotion, they've not only lost my custom in the scheme, but have lost out on my weekly shop (£30)
Silly people0
