spending loose change

Options
im owed a outstanding debt of £6000, after many visits to the home of the debtor he's has now decided to pay and I got my 1st instalment of £103 in loose change, (cheeky monkey). its all bagged up so just needs weighing before I take it to the local shops to exchange for paper.
im not sure if its all coming this way as yet, but if it dose ill be informing him that the debt was for £6000, and not 600,000pence and the debt is still outstanding, lets see if he's still laughing then.:D

You don't have to take the money like this. Legally http://www.royalmint.com/help/help/legal-tender-amounts these are the amounts someone has to accept for debts.

hireclusive46 if he wants to leave his pennies at my address then there will be a charge to look after them for him, the bag was not given to me but just placed on the table.
as far as im concerned the debt still stands at £6000, im more than happy to keep what he brings no matter what denomination, ill inform him of the legalities at a later date (im not a solicitor) but his wife is a accountant!!! the extra cash will come in handy.
