Hi all,
I'm a shiny newbie and would love to join you all.
I live in a lovely rented house with my OH and we just had our annual inspection from the managing agents so the place is pretty spic-and-span right now. Now all we have to do is keep it that way!
I function much better in an orderly environment so this isn't just about keeping the place tidy,it's about keeping me happy too!
Nice to meet you all and good luck.0 -
I sent an email to the council to say the boiler needed servicing an hour ago - and there's someone here - NOW! Given that last year I had more than a month without any heating whilst they procrastinated, this is amazing! Typically though, he's turned up whilst there are piles of washing in the hall, the ironing board's out and there's folded ironing to be put away and I haven't cleaned up breakfast things :rotfl:
ETA: Gorgeous pic pigpen, her little face has cheered me up this morning!PAD: £4843.10 (loan paid, yay!)
One debt vs 100 days: £288.73 / £750

I'm in, sorry I missed the "opening" last night we had a bit of bother here but all ok now. I'll add the challenge list later, just working at the mo.

Thanks Dusty for this weeks list
I'm in.
Tried to catch up with last weeks thread but nothing has stuck, so hugs, spoons, sticks etc as appropriate
I had 2 whole days away from the computer this past weekend. Well sort of, I spent 2 hours Saturday morning helping DD with her homework on her laptop (She knows what she has to do, and can see the finished thing in her mind, but I'm much quicker at doing it. Seriously, I got more done in 2 hours than she had in 6! ), cleared the entire ironing pile, packed DD off to her dads overnight (with the rest of her homework), finished flying then from 2pm Saturday until I got up this morning was me time
I had a lovely bath, caught up with all my programmes I've recorded, and managed to read a book cover to cover! I'm much more chilled and my head isn't as busy so I'm ready to start fresh this week.
I have paid stuff quite a bit this week but today I am making a 'household' day. I need to get my toots list finished (bits of magazine cuttings and scribbled notes all need putting together, also need to price some things up) so I'm going to concentrate on that this afternoon. This morning I'm going to clear up the kitchen, fly, and do an hours admin for work before lunch.
If its gone its done or not applicable:
Monday - Bathroom, shower room, toilet
15 minutes...
Clear and wash the floors
Clean toilet
30 minutes to spare ...
Clean all plug holes and the plugs themselves
Clean the sink including the pedestal
descale the taps and brush around the base with an old toothbrush
Got an hour....
Remove all dirty laundry & wash
Clean the bath
Extras
Deal with any paperwork
Do another 5 minute job
Off to find a clean cleaning cloth so I can do the bathroom. Shouldn't take long as I've been S&Sing it

This is me to a tee, Tea! My mood is always worse when the house is a mess; I find it very hard to settle when there's stuff to be done but struggle to find the motivation a lot of the time and I definitely find that this thread helps. Welcome :hello:
J2A, I'm glad that your OH is feeling a bit sheepish, I hope you can clear the air fully later on and get a good rest tonight.
I have sorted out the kitchen; folded the chairs and table (which we need when all the kids are here, but it makes the room VERY cramped), pulled out the breakfast bar and stools, swept the floor (right into all the corners) and steam mopped everywhere. Surfaces have been decluttered and wiped, toaster shaken within an inch of its life, breakfast dishes washed, dried and put away.
Checked the airers and the three loads I hung yesterday afternoon are definitely dry enough to iron :T Windows are all wide open but the air is humid today so I'm glad it's dried well.
I need to remember to prise the cover off the central heating timer and check which batteries it needs as it's been showing 2.45 for the last couple of months; if I don't mention this in my next post can you all please remind me?
Quick coffee and ciggie then into the bathroom...0 -

Anyone free to do a 30 minute mad clean from 9am? :j
Well an hour later and I'm not finished.
I'm sweating like a pig! Anyway a quick ten minute rest then I'll finish it. I decluttered 2 products in the process.
How did you get on mrsm? I'm hoping that doing fly lady this week will help with the decluttering target

Morning all. Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was shattered when we got back from cub day trip
.
Didn't sleep too well last night, woke up with a sore gum (so sore I was gng to get up and take pain killers but didn't stupidly!) and now have a sore throat this morning as well as a sore gum. Have swooshed my mouth out with TCP to try and kill whatever is upsetting my gum. Think I got something caught up the back there.
Right, just going to strip the beds as they didn't get done at the weekend and bung them in the machine. Very naughty, have got the dryer on as I can't bear the thought of up and downing to hang out the washing. I will manage it for the bedding as there's less.
So, shall set a timer and report back here at 12:30.
