Destination ideas?

Hi everyone
Am looking for a holiday - but don't really know where! I do know what I'm *not* looking for ... so hopefully someone on MSE will have ideas for destinations (maybe even resorts/hotels?) then I can start researching
Normally, we like to go on holiday to places where there are things to do/stuff to look at/attractions to visit etc - but my partner is just getting back on his feet after a nasty accident 18 months ago (but still using crutches if it's a long day/he's tired and achey etc) - so hobbling around cities or old ruins - are out of the question. Ideally - we're looking for a place with not a lot to do - so he can't be tempted to do more than he can manage/end up regretting it[STRIKE]/I don't want to have to listen to him moaning[/STRIKE]
At the risk of sounding a right snobby cow - (which couldn't be further from the truth lol) - we *don't* want to end up anywhere that is overly invaded by the Brits (/playing Only Fools & Horses in 9 out of 10 bars).
Not particularly interested in All Inclusive places - we're not massive drinkers - plus he's a real fussy eater - so would rather be somewhere close to restaurants so we've got a choice than be out in the middle of nowhere.
Hotelwise - we'd like to go somewhere nice than "budget" - possibly with indoor/outdoor pools in case the weather turns on us?
Datewise - we can depart any time from Saturday 9 November, and need to be back in the country by Sunday 24 November at the latest ... would like to go for 9/10/11/12 nights (whatever flights are scheduled for - not fussy - longer than 7, not necessarily for 14 though)
Budgetwise - £400 per person absolute max ... although less is better
So far - I've found 10 nights at Arrecife Gran Hotel in Lanzarote for £340'ish inc flights - (forum doesn't let me post a link) - which doesn't seem bad at all ... but I'm not tied to this hotel/Lanzarote in any way - was just somewhere that someone from work suggested ...
Any ideas/suggestions gratefully received :A
Thanks
Sarah

That £340 holiday seems a good price.
There's all the Canary Islands to consider, perhaps Madeira and Agadir as well.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Kefalonia?
A Greek island; beautiful; not a lot to do (except read "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" which is set there).0 -
Greece won't be very warm in Nov though, the Canary islands are a better bet.0

Try Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. Somewhere like the Hesperia Playa Dorada. Arrecife where the gran hotel is isn't a great area.
Don't worry about an indoor pool in the canaries, there just isn't a need for one.0 -
Rent a cottage in Tuscany, maybe Lucca or Florence. Just sit and enjoy the views and eat in lovely restaurants and cafes.
Wonder whether you'd get to Florida for your money? Some complexes have golf carts to get around there.
Maybe a Centre Parks type place where there's lots to do day and night in one place so not lots of walking.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Any more posts you want to make on something you obviously know very little about?"
Is an actual reaction to my posts, so please don't rely on anything I say.
