How does he feel about beer? I'm planning to get my husband a beer making kit:

might pinch that idea for my OH

don't know how strongly you feel about buying a pre-packaged kit as opposed to separates, but I know Wilkinsons have quite an extensive home brew range, might be worth a look as it may work out cheaper to buy everything separately.

Something I do for my OH every year (he knows he is going to get it and it is always his favourite present) is lots of different bottles of beer. A few old favourites but mostly new and more unusual things I have spotted on my travels. Depending on how much money I have to play around with, I buy him 10-20 bottles. He loves his grown up 'pic n mix' and its a present I enjoy shopping for.

  • a weekend break (so something you enjoy too!!!)?
a tablet is something I'm considering getting my hubby this year.
I always do a stocking of lots of little bits (beer, smellies, socks, underwear etc).
I always think a good prezzie is something you want but wouldn't buy yourself...so anything you think he'd love but would never personally spring to is probably a good shout.

spare battery pack/charger or a limited edition controller.

I got OH a warcraft gaming mouse last year which he loves and has lasted really well.

OH is rather enjoying trying out meads and limited edition beers at the moment if that's an idea.
