Can anyone tell me how much it will cost me to have a burnt out clutch replaced on a Rover 25 2003 ?

What do you mean by burnt out. If the clutch has been actually burnt out then you may need a we Flywheel too.

take your pick choice of two engine types K series petrol or L series diesel.

clutch on the diesel is around £110.00 to £150.00 for the parts. LUK is oem valeo, and national are cheaper just as good in terms of quality.

1.1 1.4 and 1.6 share the same clutch around £55.00-£110.00

looking 4 hours labor plus vat.

I remember getting the clutch done on my old 214 about 11 years ago by a couple of mobile mechanics outside the house. They rolled up like the A-Team in a massive van, even had a mobile ramp, 60 minutes later and £95 heavier they were gone.

Hat goes out to anyone who will replace a clutch at your location. IMO it's hairy to get under a car on jackstands with uneven road surface.

You can't use ramps because the wheels have to come off and the drive shaft needs to be deassembled in order to replace clutch.

Ramp probably wasn't the best description by me, lift or hoist would've been better.

ahh I posted late last night should have gone to bed I missed out half of what I thought I posted!

I wouldn't compare a mobile mechanic times to garage times that completely different environment.

I based my 4 hours labor on doing it home following a manual not thinking op could be doing at home to save costs. and forgot to add in the garage labor or explain things proper.

garage time would around 1 1/2 -2 hours.

IIRC the subframe isn't so much in the way and the box can come free from car without having to mess with the subframe like you do on the 75.

My experience was too long ago to base any sort of price nowadays on, I was just reminiscing of the days pre-Rover collapse.

Although I do wish I had kept their business card, those guys were awesome.
