What Benefits at 60?

My English mother-in-law visited last weekend and before she left she asked if we could exchange her Scottish notes for English notes as she often had problems getting shopkeepers to accept them.
I still have a note somewhere that Tesco refused, "we don't take that one, we will accept.......RBS/BoS (?) ".
On another occasion, I found myself in the City of London walking past a branch of a scottish bank (sorry I can't remember which one) and the teller tried to palm me off with "......you don't have an account with us".
I had to explain the situation twice more, the second time in a loud voice for the benefit of the rest of the banking hall, before the muppet would scuttle off and get authorisation from his manager to give me the funny money produced by the Bank of England.
I would rather take the Euro.0 -
I have two final salary pensions and with my state pension due shortly no complaints. Also like my best friend who died recently everything will be going to our local cats home.0
