Roofing boards? Is that the correct term?

I am in a house on my own, divorced, and the barge? board on one side of my house, apex, has started to rot.

It is near to the boundary fence, and, as it is at the top of the house, it is a stressor to me. It is a smallish job to replace, but a massive job to get to.

Can anyone advise please. I am a mature student with limited funds, but am waiting for the roof to blow off!

can you post a picture ?
if not you might be able to get a chippy in to replace it if it's really bad , or if you want a temp job , scrape out the rot and fill with plastic wood , if possible

will do it over the next day or so- It is in the corner of my house above my bedroom, and seemed to let in the spring birdies this year, as there was very loud tweeting for a while. My Dad died in May so am only just getting my head together.
