How to withdraw money from the bank "passbook"

Which bank does passbook-only accounts? I've got a collection of building society passbooks that I've never used, because I always took the money out by other means.
The accounts were opened by post - no local branches - and the passbooks weren't signed. I suppose they sent them out just because some people like to have one."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0 -
Which bank does passbook-only accounts? ..
The Halifax. It has a passbook saver which only allows withdrawals by taking the book into a branch.
