Do You Shop Online With Ocado?

I have just signed up for a year long mid week delivery pass with OCADO - it cost me £25 with living social but that also gave me £30 off my first shop.

I did wonder whether it was worthwhile as ODACO always seem to be very expensive but I have been really impressed so far.

So my question is, do you shop online with OCADO and if so, do you have any hints or tips to get the best out of them?

    Okado flash sales.
Reduced items from 20% to 50% off or more.
These items appear just before you check out.
You can change the delivery before you check out to see what's in the flash sales for several days in advance. Some of these items will stay in your basket for a week or more.

Also do check the very handy reviews and star ratings for each item.
Lots of the flash sale stuff has a low rating where most reviewers rate the item poorly.

My best deals have been the packs of chicken breasts, 1kg reduced 40% or 50%, so £5 - £6 a pack. Also the large free range chickens which I would never pay £13 - £14 for.

You don't get a choice for substitutions - they are given automatically.
You can hand the item back to the driver if you don't want it.

If you can get access to your email shortly before delivery is due, they send you a receipt so you can see what you are getting, what is out of stock and substitutes. They also let you know if they are running late - your web account will show this too.

Most of their fresh items are of a really good quality.

I hope this post has been helpful.

It has been extremely helpful - just the kind of advice I was looking for.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post :T

I do all my shopping with Ocado.
They are really good and have excellent customer service.
I rarely have anything missing, the drivers are helpful and polite.
They price match with Tesco, in August they gave me £8 as a result of a Tesco price match. In my opinion they are head and shoulders above the other supermarkets.

We absolutely love Ocado. We've been getting most of our groceries from them for about 4 years now. The range of products is fantastic and we've saved loads on reduced, quality items. The drivers are always friendly and helpful. 5 stars from us.

I was unsure if I had made the right decision initially about buying the mid week pass but judging by all of your comments (thank you for taking the time to reply :T ) I am sure I did the right thing

If we see any OCADO bargains, shall we share them here?

You have to be open to offers. I always shop by offers, so get VFM

****Keep an eye on FB/Ocado blog****

The best deal was a couple of weeks ago they gave £27 worth of (FREE) breakfast stuff away on a £40+ order. (juice/bacon/muffins/granola/milk/yogurt/Brioche/tea//coffee etc.)

This week a FREE sandwich cutter.

I saw the flash sale when I amended an order close to the cut-off.

    I don't think I have ever had a substitution.

There are so many at the moment as they are having end of season mark downs as well as the normal half price, save a 1/3, etc.

I am buying a lot of things for Christmas (non food) and have basically halved the total price, that I should have paid at full price, overall.:T

I must say, I am so impressed, £70 worth for shopping for £50 yesterday. Our kitchen is chocka, and a £5 off our next shop - which I will most certainly use!
