I tried extremely hard to find earnings figure for the 70s and 80s from reliable sources I don't think they exist. House prices OK because Nationwide go back that far there is also a Nationwide Graph going back that far, showing earning to house prices just short of 5x compared to between 5 and 6 now.
I do have one big advantage over you I was actually there.
Don't worry about paying for my pension because you aren't.0
