Results a company receives from CRA in relation to previous addresses

I noticed that, when requesting my credit file from Experian, in error I didn't put an old address in. When I received my file, I didn't have any data on accounts at that address, which are now closed, nor a CCJ. The address did show in my "linked" addresses. When I modified my Experian account, obviously this data then appeared for me to view.
Now, if a company only asks, for example, for "Addresses for last two years" and you give these, will the results they receive automatically include data from linked addresses or will they just receive accounts and "Public Record" items which are registered at the addresses for the last two years?
