As a neighbour, can I appeal a grant of conditional planning permission?

Across the road isn't a neighbour, & loss of view isn't applicable either, how many people have bought homes with a beautiful view over green fields only to find in a few years a housing estate there, sad but true, so I don't think you have a leg to stand on
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

It's all ok. My fiancee had a 'discussion' with the developer. He assured her that he's a retired builder, wants to build the extension and settle down in the bungalow for the coming years. That old chestnut - don't believe a word of it.
He also mentioned he'd upset many people previous to us with his developments, so that makes it slightly more ok, surely? Not really.
We'll buy a house on a very steep hill next time - even if the !!!!!!s build in front of us, we'll still be able to see over their darn roof ;)

I don't see the reason for your objection? Why are yoi "fuming"? How is this going to impact on your quality of life? Is the extension to the side or rear elevation?

Only some views are more or less guaranteed, such as the view over adjoining protected park land, a sea view, where there is no more room to build, or a view which is personally owned, like fields behind a house. Protected views usually come with a hefty price tag.

Even buying a house at the top of a steep hill will cost, perhaps in terms of more difficult accessibility, a steep garden or a windy site.

Even in the countryside, people have found their views affected by constructions like wind turbines. Or perhaps a more mundane 160' farm building will be erected close by, which, incidentally, will probably require no planning permission at all.

Our protected view is the west coast main line , and we love it!
