Morning all (well it is only just).

Greetings from sunny Devon. We are here for another few days at least though things are going on at home and I really think we should go back but hubby wont hear of it. Daughter wants to know when we will be back as she thinks we might like to have the Grandbaby overnight.:D

Son number two has been thrown out of his flat and has landed on son number 1. Son number 1 is happy to have him till he is sorted out but he says his dog has got to go as he has a dog himself and the flat is only small and the two dogs don't get on. Number 2 son doesn't want to get rid of his dog.

Daughter number 1, little Una is back in hospital with pneumonia. She is ill but not as bad as she was when she was first admitted several weeks ago.

Spent the morning looking at property down here. My how prices have dropped since I last looked. For the first time ever I might be able to sell what I have for a tiny place down here.... oh it would be lovely to live so close to the sea... however, it would be like opening a can of worms so i'll just sit tight.

Anyway, we haven't planned what to do today. I need to crack on with the breakfast (we didn't get up till late) and I need to get a few groceries later but the rest of the day is ours.

Havent had chance to catch up with the rest of your news, don't think ive got the patience.... I don't like hubbys new laptop. I keep hitting the caps lock button instead of the 'a'.

No makeup for me for three days now and I look a mess but sod it, no one knows me down here.:rotfl:

    Have good day all,

    Afternoon all!

Judi - You saying about your lack of make up today. Since I spent almost the whole of July in Mallorca, I haven't bothered since. It's the first time since I was a pre teen that I haven't worn mascara and eyeliner. I've never been a full face of slap girl, but I've surprised even myself!

Dropped DS2 to work this morning, got veg from the ethnic shop and did a run round Aldi. It's getting to be a bit of a habit.

Changed my bed and it's all in the WM as I type. I've borrowed The best Exotic Marigold Hotel from a friend to watch this afternoon while DH is at footy.

    Have a great Saturday :)

I love that film! Absolutely brilliant :-)

    Afternoon all,

Was out early this morning to queue up for my flu jab. Lucky I got there early and was 3rd in the queue... The queue got so big so fast they had to open early because people were having to queue on the main road!
Treated myself to a chocolate eclair from Gregg's afterwards :-)
Been to Asda, watched last weeks Downton again and had lunch (cheese and bacon Toasties with a fried egg on top... Mmmm!)
Can't decide what to have for tea. Either sausage and mash, spaghetti bolognese or chilli. I'm sure I'll decide soon!

Hope you are all having good days!

    Afternoon :D

Lovely day here, suns come out.
Been off to order our new sofa, taken kids to park and sat and enjoyed a cuppa while they played.
Heard the cars at racing circuit this morning, my dad tells me big race meet this weekend so he's trying to score me some free passes via his old work so I can take DS tomorrow. Fingers crossed he manages it ;)

    Pizza for tea tonight.

Hugs and spoons all round xx have a great Saturday everyone.

  • It has just started raining here, but it was quite nice this morning.
I feel a bit blergh today, can't be arsked to do anything, DH thinks it is because I am not sleeping well.
So a lazy Saturday just surfing the net for me.
Dinner is HM lasagne and garlic bread from the freezer, just a quick reheat and it will be ready.

Nar I hope that you have enjoyed your first week of [STRIKE]freedom[/STRIKE] er retirement :D It has gone quickly hasn't it, this time last week you were out partying

NPM you are not weird, I believe in that sort of thing as well.:o

Even though I have a lot of health issues, I can no longer have the flu jab because I have developed an allergy to the albumen in egg white

    Afternoon all,

Late one from me. I bit the bullet this morning and got my hair cut short. I love it, should have done it ages ago.
Then once the house was clean we went into Manchester and had a mooch round. Absolutely packed and lots of rugby fans getting ready for the big match at Old Trafford. There was a great food market in Albert Square. The weather was so nice, it felt like late summer rather than Autumn.
I didn't buy anything other than a poster for DGS new bedroom. We shall paint it tomorrow. My mum has bought him some new bedding so he should be nice and snug in there when we've finished.
Anyway I'm off, hubby is shouting at the tv as United are playing so I shall go and watch strictly elsewhere.
    Enjoy your evening x

DH went to get flu jab this morning and then gave me a lift to local butcher and to L**l for milk, fruit and veg.

Tried out a Jamie Oliver recipe for lemon and herb chicken, roast potatoes and carrots in orange juice and zest tonight and everyone seemed to like it so trying his brisket recipe tomorrow for lunch.

DD has friend staying over so tidied bedroom, made up bed nicely etc
and doing dishes before X factor starts.

Are star seeds anything like Linda Goodman's idea of star children?

    Hugs to all

Don't have to do much to do that do I NAR. That's what the Irish Sea is for.:D

Dogs flaked out after a long walk on the beach. Tea eaten but not yet washed up. Its a no takeaway holiday for us this time which should save a few pennies even though the nearest supermarket is a Waitrose. We paid £7 for 2 lamb steaks yesterday. At that price we thought we had bought the whole sheep.

Hubby is watching freeview TV and has to fill the aquaroll before I can wash up. However he is watching BBC3 (re run of Top Gear so I might be waiting some time) so i'm just killing time.:)

Hope all is well with you all.
