Well the minimum income calculator makes a lot of assumptions as someone has said....as someone who has paid off their mortgage and doesn't pay rent, then it's out by £86 or there about straight away.
It assumes we spend £105 a week on food and alcohol, cultural and social activities £75 and we spend no where near those amounts......
If I put in our joint incomes and adjust what is adjustable (it isn't food or social activities) then we have £260 a week more than we need.......0 -
Website shows that our family of 4 would need 80k a year
as our both children are under 4 and they need childcare. plus we live in London where rent is over at least £220 a week for 2bed house. I wish we would have that much money
