i am in need of a new flat roof for my garage
its felt !
does anyone now how much i can expect to pay for a new felt flat roof for an average size single garage
joists are fine the rest needs replaceing

just the felt or the plywood too?
i had the roof on mine retared 2 yrs ago. cost just 250 quid. cheaper than replacing the felt.

I had the felt on a larger than average garage roof replaced last year (the boards were fine underneath). Inc chippings, fitting etc it came to just under £750 with a 10 year guarantee. Prices varied significantly though - up to £1600 was quoted for felt, and £2.5k plus for the fibreglass/rubber roofing. You need to shop around if you're getting it fitted.

If I was doing it myself (and a little more handy than I am), I reckon it could have been done for around £400.

Our garage had felt and board, problem is you need to renew every few years, solved the problem 13 years ago by fixing pre formed colured galvanized roofing sheets on top of existing material, cost about 50-60 % more than refelting and renewing some boarding, but have not need to do it since and don't think I will again in the next 10 years or more.
