Brief honeymoon in Durham

We have two nights for our honeymoon, and for location reasons think Durham would be the best place to go - however my partner really wants a boutique hotel or very fancy B&B, I want to stay somewhere for two nights, and we're on a fairly limited budget (£150 for the stay, including at least breakfast). Does anyone have any advice on places, negotiation techniques, or any other helpful hints please?
Thanks very much

If you stay out of term time the colleges do B and B. The Castle is one of the colleges, we stayed in the Bishop's Suite for the first night of our honeymoon. It was very cheap and posh. (This was some time ago)0

I can recommend Cathedral View Town House although slightly over your limit at £85 per night.
Lovely rooms, excellent breakfasts, run by a lovely couple. Not many rooms and walking distance of the town.
