Pretty sure they won't confirm to customers yet or nobody will buy any toys beforehand....but staff at my store already been asked to come in late the night before to set up and it was announced in staff meeting :D

I have been told Weds 23rd by a sainsburys employee too!
  • I didn't think much of it last year but did do well year before for baby toys. I always find it depends on what they want. Good luck x
  • In my local they are already starting to mark the toys etc down, most are 1/3 off. with some larger toys 1/2 price e.g toy garage.

When did Sainsburys bring in a minimum £15 spend for click and collect? I've just picked up two different orders I placed last week each was just couple pound and I got free collection.

i went on there to order some toys and dvds and noticed this minimum spend
thing is i couldnt order dvds and small toy at same time to cover it
sainsburys i think are gonna lose a lot of customers
i used to shop there every week but have since gone to tescos as sainsburys prices are usually 20% higher and quality poor
    also lots of empty shelves
i shoped at the crawley one which was revamped and there obviously passing there costs on to customers

as for the pay for click and collect well thats disgusting

sainsburys are going one way and thats down
  • Went into my Sainsbury's tonight...it is heaving with boxes of toys. Every end aisle is stacked high and crates of boxes near the doors! I laughed with the cashier and asked if they were stocking up for Christmas...she just winked and said "See you Wednesday...we open at 7am!"
  • Any one have any ideas or spot what is going to be 50% off? Thanks
