Putting an avatar on e-mail

Options
Thanks to all the great help on this site I have managed to get myself an Avatar (although I'm not sure what it stands for). Can anyone tell me how I can include one in my e-mails. I use MSN if that's any help.

    No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you
  • Thank you lads but that doesn't answer my question. I have not used copy/paste before as I am very knew to computing so a very simple answer would do me nicely. PS I didn't like Banana Splits I preferred Rhubarb and Custard...

    Or put it in your 'signature' which means all emails will have it in....

    You need to embed the image. Or an easier solution is put a link to it. You'll have to send an html email as opposed to a plain text email, or if you really know what you're doing you can send a multi-part email but that's getting complex.

    So, basically upload your image to some free webspace and reference the image from there. Something like:

    <img src="http://columbo.com/myimage.jpg" border="0" alt="Description" />

    Then when you send it the recipients email client reads the html, and displays the image.
    "Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."

    That only works if they are connect to the Internet at the time of reading it (as opposed to downloading it as they would be connected then, obviously!)
