Website Design?

A friend of mine would like her own website to exhibit her oil paintings.
She would like it to be quite plain, unique with a gallery where she can easily add and remove samples of her oil paintings.
Does anyone know if there is anything out there which will allow her to achieve this? She already has a domain name, and I am happy to help her. The solution does not have to be free, but of a reasonable price!
Any suggestions would be really good!

You are better off googling for Website Builder software and websites - MoonFruit, Blogger and so on normally come up. Serif WebPlus X6 is good but costs money.....You can get a cheaper version in PC World and online.
These types of solution would allow you to create a template (website pages/content) that you then upload with free software such as FileZilla. FTP details will be available via your web hosting.0 -
Find a host that offers Softaculous.
you can then create a site using one of their many Gallery scripts

I see a lot of artists using Tumblr to showcase their work. It's optimised for search engines, easy to set up and to share your images across the network.

Stop using my avatar! :rotfl:
I created (well, implemented someone else's design of) a website (quite some time ago) for an artist friend. It allows him to easily administer his portfolio and upload images of his paintings plus descriptions.
https://www.garrythomas.co.uk if anyone is interested in seeing it.0
