Unused overdraft charges & account fees.

Looking through my bank statements (i have everyone back as far as 1989!) i have noticed i was charged £4.80 a month for overdraft protection, i never went overdrawn and infact at the time i had several thousand pounds in my account, can i reclaim this from the bank and if so any ideas on how and does it come under PPi? I have already sent them an SAR and am waiting for a reply. Also, on the same account i was charged £7.80 a month for a "Barclays Additions account fee"
I'm still very new to this reclaiming but am starting to get my teeth into it! :D

Anyone shed any light on this for me please?

Have you asked your bank what you get for £4.80 per month?
Only when you know what the benefits are can you decide if you think it's worth it.

Here are the benefits of the Barclays Additions packaged account.

If you no longer want it, or don't think it's worth the money, speak to your bank and ask about something more suitable.
Like most banks, Barclays offer a free personal account if you don't want the extras. (free meaning free for most normal day to day transactions and no monthly fee)

There's nothing to reclaim, unless you think you have been mis-sold. But you can cancel.
Even if you do think you were mis-sold, you are not claiming, but would be complaining, as was explained to you a few months back ;)
